Jacob Deery is a MASc student at TRAIL. His research focuses on uncertainty estimation for robot perception, with applications to object detection and image segmentation. He received his BASc degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2021. During his undergraduate study, he spent multiple co-op terms working on autonomous vehicle software in both industry and academia.
