Biography

 

Barza Nisar is a PhD student at TRAIL. Her current research focuses on 3D object detection. She received her MSc degree in Robotics from ETH Zurich, Switzerland and BSc degree in Mechatronic Engineering from Sabanci University, Turkey. For her MSc thesis, Barza developed a multicopter’s model-based visual inertial estimator to simultaneously estimate state and external forces. Afterwards, she advanced her research in visual inertial localisation for drones by interning at a drone company and later in a robotics lab with Prof. Davide Scaramuzza..
